Challenge and Opportunity

   People often come to see a therapist when whatever is happening in their lives becomes very difficult to handle. Maybe this is true for you.  Such times can be really distressing and frightening. They also can be some of the most powerful opportunities in life for growth and change.  I know that it takes courage and determination to seek therapy and share the pain you are in with someone new. I have great respect for your willingness to take this step, honored that you are choosing to share this time in your life with me and excited for the work we can do together.   I  am available to meet with you in my office or online.

    I will typically work with you using elements of several therapies, including: · Strength based (What are your personal strengths and environmental supports? Do you have spiritual beliefs that sustain you?) · Mindfulness ( What can awareness of you mind, emotions and body tell us about your concerns?)·    Cognitive/behavioral (How can we work with your beliefs to help with current circumstances?) and  Psychological parts work (How healing difficult times  from your past can help you with current challenges.
